PTA Christmas Fun Day (Please note the change of date)
On Wednesday, 9th December, the PTA will be hosting a Christmas jumper fun day to raise funds for our school in place of our annual
Christmas fete. For a £1.50 fee, the children are invited to wear their Christmas jumper on this day with their usual uniform and each child will be given a photo frame to decorate. They will also have a Christmas themed photograph taken which can be purchased for an additional £1.
If you would like your child to take part, please send in £1.50 in a labelled envelope and an additional £1 if you would like to purchase your child’s Christmas themed photograph.
I would like to say a huge thank you to the PTA for organising this and for organsing our recent film night. The event raised £135 for our school, amazing! Thank you to everyone who supported it.
The PTA also still have selection boxes for sale for £1.50. If you would like to purchase more, please send the money in in a labelled envelope.
Covid-19 Testing
If your child develops symptoms of Covid-19 and needs to be tested, you can book a test in the following ways:
- Call 119
- Go to https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test
It is important the test is taken as quickly as possible. This will ensure that contacts are told to isolate as soon as possible should the test be positive.
Please only order a home testing kit if you don’t have transport available to get to a testing centre. Home testing kits take a lot longer due to waiting for postage. We’re finding that results from a testing centre are much quicker and this means we can take the necessary action within school to isolate classes and keep everyone safe. Always let us know if your child is being tested and of the result, even if they’ve been in isolation already. If you’re having problems accessing a test, please let us know and we will do everything we can to help
Online Safety
I am once again sharing the guide at the link below to TikTok:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GhsP4_cbewmQYjddrYED1EVnugmdx1I-/view?usp=sharing
I am still alarmed to hear of how many of our children are accessing TikTok. TikTok contains a lot of highly inappropriate content.
When a child watches something inappropriate, they can never ‘unsee’ it which can be damaging for them. Please be reminded that inappropriate usage of social media apps such as TikTok are viewed as safeguarding concerns.
