Christmas Dates
Please see page 7 to see the upcoming dates for Christmas activities and concerts. These have also been shared on Dojo. Further details will be shared with you closer to the time.
Please note that school will finish at 1:30pm on the last day of term (Friday, 20th December). All children are expected to be collected at 1:30pm.

Water Bottles
We are having a number of children coming to school without a water bottle. A polite reminder that all children should be bringing a named water bottle to school each day. We have plenty of water dispensers they can use to refill bottles during the day. Thank you.

Free School Meals
Are you eligible to claim for Free School Meals?

Every child in Primary school from Reception to Year 6 is eligible to receive Free School Meals, but did you know that there are 2 types of Free School Meals?

Entitled Free School Meals (eFSM)

Universal Free School Meals (uFSM) – This is the type every child is eligible to receive.

If you think you may be eligible to claim eFSM follow this link to the CCBC website for more details.

If you are eligible to claim eFSM, you will have access to other grants for your child, such as the Schools Essential Grant – which is £125 a year for you to be able to buy school uniform, equipment, sports kit etc for your child.

The number of eFSM children also contributes more money in grant funding to the school so it’s vital anyone who is eligible to apply.

Lunch Order
Please click this link to order school dinners for your child for after Half Term, week beginning Monday 18th November.

Please look at the form carefully and choose which dinner option for each day your child would like to order. Your child does not need to have a school dinner every day. Please fill out the form even if your child brings sandwiches from home everyday. You will need to order your child’s dinners by Friday. Ordered meals will be passed to the school kitchen every Monday morning.

Attendance Matters

The United Nation Article 28 states ‘every child has the right to have a primary education’. We are linking our attendance performance to this article.
We want our children to have the best possible education to give them the best chance in life. If your children aren’t in school we can’t give them this opportunity and can’t give them the opportunity to ‘be the best they can be.’

Online Safety – Choose Respect
This week’s guide focuses on choosing respect. All too often, we see people choosing to be disrespectful online because it’s easy to hide behind a keyboard.

Please encourage your childre to be respectful and kind online and offline. Please click here to find out more.
