End of Term and Staffing Updates
Today is the last day of the Spring term. Sadly, it is also the last day for our lovely Mrs Xiberras and sadly, we also announce the retirement of Mrs Packham at the end of this year.
Please click here for a full letter with a school staffing update.
I would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to our whole school team of staff who continue to challenge and support our children on a daily basis to be the best they can be. Although short, this term has been a very busy one for us all with our Estyn inspection, and as always, our staff have remained committed and dedicated to our children; I am beyond lucky to work alongside each and every one of them. Thank you all, diolch bawb!
Thank you also to you all as parents and carers for all of your support this term, we hope you all have a lovely Easter break and we look forward to welcoming the children back on Monday, 8th April.
PTA Disco
The next PTA Disco is on Thursday 11th April 2024. The infant disco (Nursery- Year 2) will run from 3.30pm to 4.30pm. Entry for each child is £2 and all children must be accompanied by an adult. The Juniors (Year 3 – Year 6) will run from 4.45pm to 6pm. Entry for each child is £2 and all children must be collected by an adult.
There will be sweets/drinks and hot dogs on sale.
We are always desperate for any volunteers to help run events like this. If you are able to spare any time to help set up/clean up/chaperone events please contact Miss Hayward.
Criw Cymraeg Competition
The Criw Cymraeg have just launched a competition for the children to complete over the Easter holidays. The competition is to design a poster which highlights reasons why it is good to speak Welsh. There will be a prize for the winner and runners up!
Pob lwc!

Attendance Matters
The United Nation Article 28 states ‘every child has the right to have a primary education’. We are linking our attendance performance to this article.
We want our children to have the best possible education to give them the best chance in life. If your children aren’t in school we can’t give them this opportunity and can’t give them the opportunity to ‘be the best they can be.’

Online Safety – Call of Duty
Many of our children are telling us that they are playing Call of Duty at home.
Call of Duty is an 18 rated game containing a lot of violence. It is highly unsuitable for children of Primary School age.
Please click here to read a guide to find out more about the risks associated with young children playing Call of Duty or other games of this nature.
