School News

End of Half Term
Today we break up for the half term break after a very busy half term back in school! Our children have worked incredibly hard and we are proud of the progress they have made this half term. I would like to say a huge thank you to our committed and dedicated team of staff who work tirelessly to support our children day in, day out, they are amazing! We hope you all have a lovely break with your wonderful children!

Halloween Disco – Thank you!
We would like to say a huge thank to our PTA for organising a great Halloween disco this week and to the staff for supporting it. The children had a great time and the funds raised will go directly to support our school. Thank you for your support.

Asda Cashpot for Schools
Thank you so much to everyone who has signed up for the Asda Cashpot for Schools initiative. We have now raised over £200 for our school!

You can still support our school by following the steps below on the Asda rewards app. Every time you shop at Asda until the 30th of November and you scan the app, 0.5% of your bill will be donated to our school. This does not impact your individual cash pot savings or total bill. Our school will also get £1 each time a new person signs up! Please share with family and friends and support our school!

Attendance Matters

The United Nation Article 28 states ‘every child has the right to have a primary education’. We are linking our attendance performance to this article.
We want our children to have the best possible education to give them the best chance in life. If your children aren’t in school we can’t give them this opportunity and can’t give them the opportunity to ‘be the best they can be.’

School target: 93%
Annual % to date: 94%

Online Safety – Whatsapp
It was brought to our attention this week that some of our older pupils have been part of a Whatsapp group with children from other schools with some bullying and unkind comments.

We cannot stress enough how important it is to regularly check your child’s phone and other devices to monitor who they are talking to and what they are accessing online.

If you need any support in doing this, please don’t hesitate to ask. Please click here to access a guide to Whatsapp but it is also vital to check all social media platforms.
