Christmas Dates
Please see page 7 to see the upcoming dates for Christmas activities and concerts. These have also been shared on Dojo with further details.

Please note that school will finish at 1:30pm on the last day of term (Friday, 20th December). All children are expected to be collected at 1:30pm. No children in any year group are allowed to walk home.
The children can wear a Christmas jumper on this day with their school uniform.

Messages
We are finding we are having an increasing number of children arriving late to school. This is not only disruptive for the children’s learning but can also affect their wellbeing. Can you please ensure all children are in school and in their classes by 9am ready to do the register and start their phonics/ Literacy sessions. The gate opens at 8:50am, children are welcome into class anytime from then.

We are also having a lot of children bringing teddies and toys/ fidget toys into school. Unless pre-agreed with a member of staff for a specific reason, the children should not bring teddies or toys into school. As always, if you need any support, please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s teacher, Mrs Wangiel or Mrs Wilson.

After School Clubs
There will be no after school clubs for the last two weeks of term. After school clubs will resume in week 2 of the Spring term (Week beginning 13th January)

Lunch Orders
Please click this link to order school dinners for your child for week beginning Monday 25th November.

Please look at the form carefully and choose which dinner option for each day your child would like to order. Your child does not need to have a school dinner every day. Please fill out the form even if your child brings sandwiches from home everyday.

You will need to order your child’s dinners by Friday. Ordered meals will be passed to the school kitchen every Monday morning.

Please discuss the menu with your child and order with their knowledge. From a wellbeing point of view, we are dealing with lots of upset children who have had food ordered for them that they don’t like. Many thanks.

Attendance Matters

The United Nation Article 28 states ‘every child has the right to have a primary education’. We are linking our attendance performance to this article.
We want our children to have the best possible education to give them the best chance in life. If your children aren’t in school we can’t give them this opportunity and can’t give them the opportunity to ‘be the best they can be.’

School target: 93%

Congratulations to most of our classes for surpassing our school target of 93%. It is important all of the children are in school every day to ensure they aren’t missing out on important learning.

Online Safety- Horror Games
All too often we hear our children talking about playing horror or inappropriate games (e.g. Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto).

These games are highly inappropriate for children in Primary School and can be frightening with the violent and scary content.

It is your duty to protect your children from this sort of content. Please click here for a guide with further information.

Criw Cymreig: Brawddeg yr Wythnos (Phrase of the Week)
Sut wyt ti? (How are you?)
The children are focussing on writing the date in Welsh. The Criw Cymreig have made laminated Tocyn Iaith to help in class. They are also working on a movie about the benefits of speaking welsh.
