Meet the Teacher/ Aspirations Meeting
Next Tuesday (10th September), 09:00-09:45am, we will be holding our annual meet the teacher meeting. This is an opportunity for you to meet your child’s teacher in their classroom where they will explain about the classroom routines and you can ask any questions you may have.
This year, we will also be using this time for you to complete your child’s annual aspiration map with them.
Please don’t worry if you aren’t able to make it, your child’s teacher will post the slides with the class information on the class story and we will send home the aspiration map for you to complete at home.
For siblings, you can spend time between different classes. We look forward to seeing you there!
Safeguarding Alert
This week, we received an alert from Caerphilly Safeguarding to say that they had received reports of males, both on foot and in cars, approaching young children in the Caerphilly town area.
Please take some time at home to remind your children about stranger danger/safety in the community and remind them of the importance of not approaching unknown cars etc.
If you have any concerns, please report them to Police/101 immediately. We will also address this in school.
School Dinners
Please click this link to order school dinners for your child for next week, week beginning Monday 9th of September.
Please look at the form carefully and choose which dinner option for each day your child would like to order. Your child does not need to have a school dinner every day. Please fill out the form even if your child brings sandwiches from home everyday.
You will need to order your child’s dinners by Friday. Ordered meals will be passed to the school kitchen every Monday morning.
We will be on Week 1 Menu.

Attendance Matters
The United Nation Article 28 states ‘every child has the right to have a primary education’. We are linking our attendance performance to this article.
We want our children to have the best possible education to give them the best chance in life. If your children aren’t in school we can’t give them this opportunity and can’t give them the opportunity to ‘be the best they can be.’

A reminder as we begin the new school year to please be vigilant with the content your child is accessing online. If a child sees something scary or inappropriate online, they can’t ‘unsee’ it and it can be damaging. It is our job as adults to protect their innocence.
