Playsports Holiday Club
Each week we have an external agency, Playsports, come into school at lunchtime to run structured sports sessions with the children. They also run an afterschool club for the Foundation Phase and the Juniors which many children attend.
Playsports are hoping to host a holiday club one or two days a week over the Easter Half Term (dates to be confirmed), these are likely to be a half day (£5) or a full day (£8 until 2.30pm). They would be held at the school, so can be run during all weathers, but would be managed by Playsports directly. The club would be open to children in Year 1 to Year 6.
If you feel your child would be interested in attending this, please fill out the short survey at this link. This is not a comittment to attend, it is just to check numbers to see if it is in demand and manageable. This survey will close at midnight on Friday 1 March 2024.
World Book Day
How exciting, it’s almost time to celebrate books and stories again.
This year, there are lots of fun, interactive events for you to take part in, as well as dressing up and volunteering to read in small groups (we’d love your help with this, contact your child’s class teacher to volunteer).
We are launching our book cover competition this week. Please watch the video at this link for details of how to enter and send your labelled entries by Thursday 7th March.
We can’t wait to see them! There will be lots of lovely World Book Day prizes for the top 3 entries.
Don’t forget – the children can dress as their favourite book character and bring their favourite book to school to share with us.

Attendance Matters
The United Nation Article 28 states ‘every child has the right to have a primary education’. We are linking our attendance performance to this article.
We want our children to have the best possible education to give them the best chance in life. If your children aren’t in school we can’t give them this opportunity and can’t give them the opportunity to ‘be the best they can be.’

Online Safety – Horror Games
Please click here to see the attached online safety guide about horror games. Please be careful to monitor what games your child is playing online or on the computer.
These games are often very scary and violent and cause disrupted sleep or behaviour.
