Heroes of the Week

Dosbarth Oren: Tia and Morgan
Dosbarth Melyn: Arlo and Erin

Dosbarth Enfys: Lewys and Alfie
Well done to all of our certificate winners, we are very proud of you all!

You Said….. We did

During our Autumn survey, it was identified in the responses that a percentage of parents and carers feel that their child doesn’t receive extra support when needed. We have discussed this and feel that whilst we run a large range of interventions, we need to be better at communicating this with parents. Over the next couple of weeks, you may receive a letter from your child’s teacher informing you if your child is receiving extra support in any area. Receiving extra support doesn’t always mean that your child is falling behind, the support may be to push your child to the next level or outcome. If you have any concerns or questions, this can be discussed with your child’s teacher during parents’ evening in the week beginning 14th February.

Healthy Schools – Water only

We would like to remind everyone that as part of our Healthy Schools Award and Healthy Schools policy, children are only allowed to bring water to drink through the day. No-added sugar squash is allowed at lunch time only.
We are a healthy school and we are working towards the last award and the guidelines state that only water is allowed. We have confirmed this with our Healthy Schools co-ordinator.
Thank you for your support in promoting a healthy lifestyle for our children so they can be just like Healthy Hetty, one of our Four Purpose Superheroes!

Eisteddfod and World Book Day

For this years’ Eisteddfod home school craft, we are linking with World Book Day and the task is to make a book box, showing a scene from the children’s favourite book. They can be as simple or complex as you like, just have fun together! Boxes should be no bigger than a shoe box, and can be brought into school on 28th February. There are example pictures on the school story on Dojo if you need some ideas. Remember – every entry gives the children’s houses 10 points towards the Eisteddfod! (This is for all classes)
The Eisteddfod will be held on Tuesday, 1st March. The children can wear their Welsh clothes to school on this day.
World Book Day is Thursday, 3rd March and the children can dress up as their favourite book character!

Online Safety

Being respectful online is just as important as being respectful in our day to day lives. The following guide gives the top 10 tips
