Dear Parents and Carers,
What a pleasure it has been to have our children back in school this week. They have settled well into their new classes and are already working hard to be the best they can be! As always, we are so proud of them.
I would also like to thank you for your patience this week as we settled into our new entrance and exit procedures. We will continue to review them as we progress through the Autumn term to make sure they are as safe and clear as possible. We are continually grateful for your support.
Have a lovely weekend, take care.
Mrs Wangiel

Covid-19 Update
You will have seen 2 letters posted to the school story of Dojo this week outlining the updated isolation rules. Copies of both letters can be found at the links below:

Whilst there have been changes to isolation rules for close contacts, any children displaying any symptoms of Covid-19 should remain at home and get a PCR test at a testing centre.
Face Coverings:
Please remember that face coverings are still required on school site when dropping off and collecting the children under Welsh government guidance quoted below:
‘Visitors to the school setting should use a face covering, including parents/carers when dropping off and picking up learners.’
Breakfast Club
Breakfast club will be re-starting on Monday, 27th September. Registrations have been sent home with the children and should be returned by Friday, 17th September.
We are currently working with Local Authority to ensure this is carried out as safely as possible and will confirm the arrangements and timings with you early next week.
School Uniform
Can I please remind you all of our agreed uniform policy outlined below:
- Pale blue shirt or school polo shirt, royal blue sweatshirt or cardigan, grey trousers, grey pinafore dress or grey skirt, grey/ white socks or tights, and black shoes
- Summer – dark plain cotton shorts and school polo shirt and black shoes or blue and white gingham dress.
- Children in Nursery and Reception are permitted to wear royal blue jogging bottoms.
- All items of uniform and child’s topcoat and wellie’s MUST be labelled with the child’s name
- All skirts worn should be of a suitable length.
- No smart watches permitted in school.
Contact Details
Please ensure we have your most up to date contact details recorded in the office. These details are vital in case of emergency. Please also check your Class Dojo account has connected to your child’s new class to keep up to date with important messages and communication. If you need any support, please speak to your child’s teacher.
Online Safety
There are many apps and websites that children use that we’ve never heard of as adults and there are new ones appearing all the time which makes it hard to keep up with them all. It’s important as parents that you are aware of which apps your children are using on their devices to know how to keep them safe. Hoop is a new social networking app that works alongside Snapchat. The guide below gives more information about
Hoop and its risks:
