Sports Days
We are exciting to hold our annual sports days next week! Dates and times below:
Nursery – Monday, 10th June 10am
Infants (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2) – Tuesday, 11th June 1:30pm
Juniors (Years 3 -6) – Thursday, 13th June 1:30pm
We have changed the format of the Junior sports day this year to match the Infants. The Juniors will also complete a carousel of activities. The children will compete for their house team in their year groups. Parents, carers and family members can stand around the outside of the activity areas and move around with their child’s class.
At the end of the activities, the children will be taken back to their class to collect their belongings. Children can then be collected from the classroom. Please do not take your child from the field. It is important that they return to class so we know they are safe.
Please make sure your child has a water bottle in school to use during the activities.
We will also be selling raffle tickets during the events for £1 each. The money raised will go towards improving our school for our children. We look forward to seeing you there and taking part in the parents and carers race!
School Festival
As you will all be aware, for our summer celebrations this year, we are holding our very own festival! Derwendeg’s version of Glastonbury – Glerwendeg! The children are all working hard to plan for this exciting event!
The festival will be held on Thursday 4th July between 2pm and 6pm.
AS A RESULT, SCHOOL WILL FINISH AT 1:45PM FOR ALL PUPILS ON THIS DATE.
The children should be collected in the usual way from their classroom door at 1:45pm and then they can be taken to the festival. ALL PUPILS ARE EXPECTED TO BE COLLECTED AT 1:45pm.
The children will be performing at the festival between 2pm and 3pm. Your child’s performance time will be shared with you closer to the date. There will also be lots of other fun activities and music to enjoy! Let’s hope we get some lovely weather for it!
School Dinners
Please click this link to order school dinners for your child for next week, week beginning Monday 10th June.
Please look at the form carefully and choose which dinner option for each day your child would like to order. Your child does not need to have a school dinner every day. Please fill out the form even if your child brings sandwiches from home everyday.
You will need to order your child’s dinners by Friday. Ordered meals will be passed to the school kitchen every Monday morning.
We will be on Week 2 menu.

We want our children to have the best possible education to give them the best chance in life. If your children aren’t in school we can’t give them this opportunity and can’t give them the opportunity to ‘be the best they can be.’
