Free School Meals – Infants
The government has announced the ‘universal free school meals for infants’ programme, under which all pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 will be eligible to receive a free school lunch from September 2022.
Caerphilly need to prepare for the increase in the numbers of children eating school lunches and would be grateful if you could fill in the following questionnaire to help us determine this. (Please note that free school meals for Junior pupils will not begin until 2023.)

Easter Raffle
The children in Year 5 & 6 are fundraising for their London Trip in June. Staff and parents have donated a cake voucher and over 40 Easter eggs for a raffle. Children have brought home raffle tickets to sell for £1 per ticket. There are a number of prizes but some include:
1st Prize: A £35 cake voucher donated by Alisha Riddiford, House of Treats.
2nd Prize: A hamper of Easter eggs
3rd Prize: A hamper of Easter eggs
4th Prize: A hamper of Easter eggs.
There will be a number of individual eggs also available as prizes.
If anyone would like extra tickets to sell to family, friends, colleagues, coaches etc we would be very grateful. Please return any unsold tickets for us to sell. Thank you in advance.
Comic Relief
We will be celebrating Comic Relief with Mad Hair this year on Friday 18th March. Please bring a small donation if you can. Red Noses will be on sale for £1.50.
Ukraine Donations
Thank you so much to all of our school community for your very kind donations for the Ukraine appeal. The first collection took place this week and will be on its way to support families in need in Ukraine very soon. The deadline for collections is Monday, 14th March. Thank you everyone:

Online Safety
Many children are now using Whatsapp to communicate with each other. Whatsapp is a great communication tool but also presents our children with some risks. The guide at the link below explains these risks further and gives advice on how you can keep your children safe on the app:
