Dear parents and carers,

This week has been a very busy week for our whole school community as we welcomed back 100% of our pupils for the first time since March. It has been an absolute pleasure for us all to see our classrooms full of smiling children again. The children have settled well into their new classes and continue to make us proud on a daily basis. How lucky we are to work with such amazing children.
Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Wangiel

Hero of the Week
This week saw the return of our Friday celebration assembly. It was a little different because we held it virtually on Google Meet with myself in the office and the children in classes but it is so important to continue celebrating the children’s hard work and achievements even with such tight Covid-19 restrictions.
This week’s heroes are:
Dosbarth Coch (N/R): Ella-Rose. A and Olivia. N
Dosbarth Oren (R/Y1): Cadence. M and Gracie. W
Dosbarth Melyn (Y1/2): Alfie.S and Penny C
Dosbarth Gwyrdd (Y3): Molly. F and Tia. R
Dosbarth Glas (Y4): Charlie W-A and Kiyan. N
Dosbarth Porffor (Y5): Milly. J and Ellie. M-P
Dosbarth Enfys (Y6): Emmy. H and Holly. W-T
Well done to all of our heroes, we are very proud of you all!

Meet the Teacher Meetings
Class teachers will be holding virtual Meet the Teacher meetings over the next 2 weeks (Weeks beginning 14th and 21st September). Dates and times will be communicated via Class Dojo. This will be an opportunity for your child’s new class teacher to discuss class routines and procedures with you and an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have.

Social Distancing
Please don’t be offended if a member of staff reminds you of the 2 metre social distancing rule. We really don’t want to nag but our absolute priority at the moment is to keep everyone safe and to reduce the risk of cross contamination. We’re all working incredibly hard to avoid this and to keep everyone safe. Please help us by adhering to the 2 metre social distancing guidance alongside our other health and safety protocols. Thank you to everyone who has supported us in our safety measures.

Staggered drop off and collection times
As promised, our drop off and collection times and arrangements have been reviewed today. Further information informing you of any changes will be shared ASAP through Class Dojo. Please keep an eye on messages and the School Story.

Chromebook Scheme
We will be hosting a virtual meeting for anyone interested in our Chromebook purchase scheme (Years 3-5 only) on Thursday, 24th September at 4pm. The meeting will be held on Google Meet with the link posted on Class Dojo ahead of the meeting. The meeting will provide you with all of the information on how the scheme works and give you an
opportunity to ask any questions you may have. Any information shared within the meeting will be posted afterwards for anyone unable to attend.

Parking
Please take extra care when parking around the school, particularly near the field gate and maintain vigilance when your child is crossing the road. Do not park on zig zag and keep clear lines. This can be dangerous and put your children at risk.
