Walk to School Week
Next week (15th to 19th of May) is National Walk to School Week. We would like to encourage our children to walk to and from school. Walking is a great form of exercise which contributes to a healthy lifestyle. There is a special school dinner menu to celebrate on Wed 17th May – see poster below for details.

Existing Injuries
If your child has sustained an injury outside of school, please ensure you inform your child’s teacher. You will be prompted to complete an existing injuries form with the office. All of our school staff are highly trained in child protection procedures and will be alert to children’s injuries so it’s important we are informed as soon as possible of any injury.

RSE (Relationships and Sexuality Education) Parent/ Carer Meeting
On Wednesday, 24th May at 2:15pm, we will be holding a parent and carer meeting in our school hall to provide further information on the RSE (Relationships and Sexuality Education) curriculum that will be taught during the 2nd half of the summer term.
If you have any questions ahead of the meeting, please send them to Mrs Wangiel via a message on Class Dojo.

Visitors from Greece and Spain
This week we welcomed some visitors from Spain and Greece. This is a part of our International Links with Active Schools. The visitors enjoyed a special welcome from Dosbarth Coch and Dosbarth Enfys. They then went on a scenic walk to Parc Penalta.

Aspirations Maps
Thank you to you all for joining us during our aspriations week last week. It was great to hear the conversations between you and your children about their aspirations. If your child brought their map home to complete, please return to the class teacher as soon as possible. Thank you again for your support.

Attendance Matters

The United Nation Article 28 states ‘every child has the right to have a primary education’. We are linking our attendance performance to this article.
We want our children to have the best possible education to give them the best chance in life. If your children aren’t in school we can’t give them this opportunity and can’t give them the opportunity to ‘be the best they can be.’
