Funding Support Schemes
In light of the recent freezing weather, we’ve gathered information on schemes the government/charities/businesses are running this year. Each scheme has a website link for more information, including eligibility information and how to apply.
None of these schemes are associated with the school, so we will not be able to answer any questions, but we hope the information in this guide is helpful.

Nursery/ Reception Outdoor Area
Please can you be mindful of the nursery outdoor area when you are dropping off and collecting your children from school. Equipment is being moved, played with, and left in a mess. It’s not fair to staff who tidy up the area after nursery have used it and then have to do it again at the end of the school day. Thank you for your support

Community Lantern Parade
On Tuesday, 20th December we are going to be holding our first Community Lantern Parade. The children will be making their lanterns in school and will then be able to carry them around the village as we sing Christmas songs to bring Christmas cheer to Cefn Hengoed! We will be meeting at 4pm in the school hall. Children have to attend with an adult and we will need to know in advance which children are attending. Please click here to access the form to let us know you will be attending. We look forward to seeing you there!

Attendance Matters
The United Nation Article 28 states ‘every child has the right to have a primary education’. We are linking our attendance performance to this article.
We want our children to have the best possible education to give them the best chance in life. If your children aren’t in school we can’t give them this opportunity and can’t give them the opportunity to ‘be the best they can be.’
