School News
Mobile Phones
Good evening everyone, we are having increasing numbers of children bringing their mobile phones to school to be kept in the office throughout the school day.
No child should be bringing their mobile phone to school unless there is a valid reason and this has been pre-agreed with myself or the school office.
If your child needs to bring their phone to school for safety reasons, please contact the office to arrange to sign a form outlining the reasons for this. No child should be keeping their phone in their bag or coat, all phones should be kept in the school office throughout the day.
Thank you.
PTA Meeting
There is a PTA meeting being held on Thursday, 25th January at 3:30pm. This will mainly be focussed on arranging the valentines disco. We welcome anyone to attend our meetings. If you would like to volunteer to help at this event please let Miss Hayward know.
Attendance
Following an attendance review with the Local Authority, we have been advised to increase our % threshold for holiday authorisation to 95% over a rolling 12 months. This means that a holiday will now only be authorised if a child’s attendance for the past 12 months is over 95%.
From Spring term onwards, attendance rewards will also now be for pupils with attendance over 95%.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Wow Days

Our after school clubs have restarted this week. If you’d like a clubs letter please see the office, we have plenty of psare available. This week ‘Crafty Club’ made personalised snowmen.

Attendance Matters
The United Nation Article 28 states ‘every child has the right to have a primary education’. We are linking our attendance performance to this article.
We want our children to have the best possible education to give them the best chance in life. If your children aren’t in school we can’t give them this opportunity and can’t give them the opportunity to ‘be the best they can be.’
