School News
Please support our school at the parent and carer meeting next Monday, 5th with the Estyn inspection team at 3:45pm in the school hall. You will be welcome to go straight in when you collect your children and there will also be a creche available to look after the children during the meeting.
We would love to see as many of you as possible there. Over my last 4 ½ years as Headteacher, you have always shown me and the school such amazing support, we would very much appreciate if you can share this positivity with the inspection team. We feel we have a real community school, and we want to share that with the Estyn Inspectors.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Safeguarding
Please see the attached leaflet regarding our safeguarding duties as a school.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us
Foodbanks
There is a foodbank running out of Holy Trinity Hall Chruch on a Tuesday morning, 9.30am to 11.30am. You do not need a referral and can just turn up. Food parcels are £3 and contain a wide variety of food.
On a Monday morning there is a foodbank in the Youth Centre, this is completely free and is for familes with children only. If you would like adding to this list please send Miss Hayward a message and she will be happy to contact the organiser for you.
Parking
We have had complaints from local residents about parking at the school. Parking is very limited around the school so please walk to school when possible. If you absolutely have to bring a vehicle, please stop and think about where you park. It is unacceptable to block our neighbours’ drives when parking outside of the school. Please park respectfully and safely ensuring you aren’t blocking anyone’s drive or access. This includes both bus stops that are close to the school. Bus stops should be completely clear to allow busses to stop. Thank you for your co-operation.

Attendance Matters
The United Nation Article 28 states ‘every child has the right to have a primary education’. We are linking our attendance performance to this article.
We want our children to have the best possible education to give them the best chance in life. If your children aren’t in school we can’t give them this opportunity and can’t give them the opportunity to ‘be the best they can be.’

Online Safety – Group Chats
We are having to deal with more and more issues in school relating to out of school group chats.
Do you know how many group chats your child is in and on what platforms?
Do you monitor what is being said within these chats?
Do you know who your child is speaking to in a group chat? You should be checking your child’s phone on a regular basis to monitor this as well as their internet usage. Please click here for a guide on group chats and the risks associated with them.
