PTA Thank You
Thank you to our PTA for organising a fun film night for our children this week and for continuing to work hard to raise funds for our school in such challenging circumstances. We would also like to thank them for the Easter eggs gifted to the children before the Easter holidays, they were thoroughly enjoyed!
Uniform Expectations
Can I please remind everyone of our school uniform expectations. We have noticed some of our children wearing white or colourful trainers, they are not part of our school uniform policy. All shoes should be black. All pupils are requested to wear uniform in line with the agreed code of dress policy.
- Pale blue shirt or school polo shirt, royal blue sweatshirt or cardigan
- Grey trousers, grey pinafore dress or grey skirt, grey/ white socks or tights
- Black shoes.
- Summer – dark plain cotton shorts and school polo shirt and black shoes or blue and white gingham dress
(Children in Nursery and Reception are permitted to wear royal blue jogging bottoms)
All items of uniform and child’s topcoat and wellie’s MUST be labelled with the child’s name.
Covid-19
If your child is showing any of the 3 symptoms of covid-19 (it doesn’t have to be all 3, it can be any of the symptoms), it is very important that they are tested as quickly as possible. It is not appropriate to use a lateral flow test if you have access to them. Lateral flow tests are only to be used for asymptomatic people (people not showing any symptoms). Anyone who is displaying any covid-19 symptoms has to have the full PCR test at a testing centre. The result, whether negative or positive, should always be reported to us straight away.
Online Safety
It is so, so important that we protect our children online as much as we do in real life. The internet poses many risks to our children, so it is vital that we understand how to keep them safe online. The guide at the link below contains some great tips and advice on how we can help the children to stay safe online.
