Cob Oven Design

This week, the children have brought home a piece of paper asking them to design a cob oven. Matthew Lloyd will be coming to our school soon to make our cob oven with the children so we can cook our own pizzas. We would like the children to design something that is unique to our school. If you would like to take part please send in your designs by Thursday 30th June. The winning design will be added to the outside of the cob oven for everyone to see. If you don’t receive a piece of paper please ask your teacher and we will send one home. Thank you!

Hope Chapel

Hope Chapel are open on Friday evenings 6pm-7pm, for children 6-11 years old. Please see the leaflet on the next page for more information. They offer art and craft, Lego , games and Minecraft.

Design a Doctor Competition

The children are being introduced to a model called DR ICE in school which stands for:
Deepening thinking
Role modelling
Impact on learning
Challenge
Engagement
They have been asked to design a doctor for us to use with this model, alongside our four purpose heroes. This is part of the homework menu and is a competition. The winning entry will become our new doctor image and will be displayed and used throughout the school.
It is completely up to the children how they would like the doctor to look, but they should consider what each of the letters stand for in the doctor’s name, e.g. D = Deepening thinking and how they could create this in a picture. Please bring your entries to school by Friday 15th July. We look forward to seeing them all!

Summer Celebration

We are very excited to announce that we will be seeing the return of our summer celebration on Friday, 8th July. Please see the poster at the link below for more information:

The PTA are selling stalls at the event for £10 per stall. If you, or anyone you know, is interested in hosting a stall, please contact us.

Breakfast Club

We have a number of spaces available in our school breakfast club. Breakfast club is a great way of ensuring the children have a healthy breakfast each morning, arrive in school on time and have an opportunity to socialise with others in a calm environment. The gates open for breakfast club at 8:15am. If you would like your child to attend, please contact the school office to obtain a permission slip.
