September INSET Dates
Thursday, 2nd and Friday, 3 rd September will be INSET days for Derwendeg Primary School and the school will be closed to pupils. Children will return to school on Monday, 6th September.Monday 19th July to Thursday 22nd
Little Acorns Holiday Club
As many of you will now be aware, all of the places for the Summer Holiday Enrichment Programme (SHEP) have now been allocated. However, Mrs Greenway in Little Acorns is also running a paid summer holiday club for children aged 3-11 years. The club will run between 9am and 2pm for the dates below:
Monday 19th July to Thursday 22nd
Monday 26th July to Thursday 29th
Monday 2nd August to Thursday 5th
Monday 9th August to Thursday 12th
Costs: £17.50 per day or £70.00 per week

Caerphilly Summer Sports Scheme
For the upcoming summer holidays, Sport Caerphilly will once again be running their extremely popular Summer Sport Schemes across a range of leisure centres within the borough for 7-12 year olds. Please see the poster at the link below for more detail:

Covid-19
Can we please remind you that children should not be sent to school if they are showing any of the 3 signs of Covid-19 (Cough, high temperature, loss of taste or smell) – no matter how mild.
If your child is displaying any of these symptoms, please book a test as quickly as possible and ensure the whole household isolates until the result comes back

Free School Meal Deliveries
Deliveries will take place from Monday 5th July to Friday 16th July 2021 to children entitled to free school meals in readiness for the Summer
holidays. Each child who has registered for the delivery service will receive a 6-week meal pack, this includes frozen, dried, and fresh food
products. They also offer a collection service if delivery is not suitable, to arrange collection please email catering@caerphilly.gov.uk or call 01443 864055
