School News

Eisteddfod
The children enjoyed a wonderful Eisteddfod at school on Wednesday. Thank you to our brilliant judges, Lyn Bourne and Rebecca Vivian who were able to watch all the children perform. We’d also like to thank Christine Rogers who judged the story competition over half term.
The children all looked brilliant and really kept in the spirt of the day.
Thank you to all our parents for assisting with the home craft section and for supporting the children with their themed clothing for the day.

After School Clubs
A reminder that After School Clubs are up and running again. The permissions given at the start of term are still valid. If you’re unsure which clubs your child has signed up for, please call the office who will be happy to help.
All money should be sent in a labelled envelope.

Donations
We would like to thank the Lindsay Club, Mr Connor Hathaway and and JPR Services for their kind donations to our school

World Book Day
Today the school is celebrating World Book Day. The children look brilliant in their imaginative costumes. Each child will be coming home with a book/voucher for a book.

Concert
The school choir will be performing alongside the Hengoed Ladies choir on 10th March 2023. This exciting event will start at 6pm. Tickets cost £5, all funds raised will be in support of Rose’s Way Foundation.
The children have been working really hard on their performance and it’s not to be missed!

Attendance Matters

The United Nation Article 28 states ‘every child has the right to have a primary education’. We are linking our attendance performance to this article.
We want our children to have the best possible education to give them the best chance in life. If your children aren’t in school we can’t give them this opportunity and can’t give them the opportunity to ‘be the best they can be.’
