I am very proud to be the Headteacher of Derwendeg Primary School. I am very privileged to work with a highly experienced and dedicated team of staff who care deeply about nurturing and encouraging our children to achieve their very best.

We are very passionate about our school being a community focused learning organisation that works in partnership with the whole school community to provide the best possible education for our children. We pride ourselves in building strong, effective relationships with all stakeholders and we fully value your contribution as key educators in your children’s lives.

Your child’s wellbeing is of utmost importance to all staff here at Derwendeg. We value every child, and not only want them to receive an excellent education but also to feel happy and safe. We endeavour to ensure there is a high level of care, consideration and respect from and towards everyone involved in the life of the school.

Through our vibrant curriculum, we engage children in purposeful and exciting learning experiences providing them with the knowledge and skills they need for the future. We have high expectations of each and every child and are committed to ensuring each child achieves their full potential and has high aspirations.
