School Festival – Glerwendeg!
As you may already be aware, for our summer celebrations this year, we are holding our very own festival! Derwendeg’s version of Glastonbury – Glerwendeg! The children are all working hard to plan for this exciting event!

The festival will be held on Thursday 4th July between 2pm and 6pm. As a result, school will finish at 1:45pm for all pupils on this date.

The children should be collected in the usual way from their classroom door at 1:45pm and then they can be taken to the festival.

All classes will be performing at the festival between 2pm and 3pm. Your child’s performance time will be shared with you closer to the date.

There will also be lots of other fun activities and music to enjoy! Let’s hope we get some lovely weather for it!

Keep your eyes peeled on Dojo for more information! We are still looking for more bands/ performers to take part in the festival, if you are a performer/ in a band or know a performer/ band that may be interested, please let us know!

School Dinners
Please click here to order school dinners for your child for next week, week beginning Monday 13th May.

Please look at the form carefully and choose which dinner option for each day your child would like to order. Your child does not need to have a school dinner every day. Please fill out the form even if your child brings sandwiches from home everyday.

You will need to order your child’s dinners by Friday. Ordered meals will be passed to the school kitchen every Monday morning. Next week (13th May) we are on Week 1 menu.

Attendance Matters

The United Nation Article 28 states ‘every child has the right to have a primary education’. We are linking our attendance performance to this article.
We want our children to have the best possible education to give them the best chance in life. If your children aren’t in school we can’t give them this opportunity and can’t give them the opportunity to ‘be the best they can be.’

Infinite Craft
We have been made aware by another school that there is a new game Primary School aged children are playing called ‘Infinite Craft’.

It appears innocent to start but soon becomes adult in its content. As always, please be vigilant in what games your children are playing and what content they are accessing online.
