Parents Evenings – 16th-18th October
Next Monday-Wednesday (16th-18th) we will be holding our Autumn parents’ evenings. You should have received your date and time from your child’s teacher. It is very important you attend this appointment. If you are unable to attend for any reason, please contact your child’s teacher to rearrange.
Mrs Wangiel, as Headteacher, and Mrs Wilson, as Family Liaison/ Wellbeing Officer, will also be available for appointments. Mrs Wangiel will be available Monday and Wednesday and Mrs Wilson will be available on Tuesday. If you would like to speak to either of them for any reason, please send them a message to book an appointment. There will be a creche available Monday-Wednesday until 4:15pm in Dosbarth Gwyrdd (Mrs Packham’s class).
During your appointment with your child’s teacher, they will be sharing your child’s reading and spelling data with you. This will be fully explained to you during your appointment. This is the first time we have shared data in this way so we will appreciate any feedback you have for us.

PTA Events
Halloween Disco
The PTA are hosting their annual costume disco after school on Monday 23rd October 2023. £2 entry
Nursery – Year 2: 3:30pm-4:30pm (Children must be accompanied by an adult) Year 3 – 6: 4:45pm-6:00pm. All children to be collected by an adult.
A reminder that costumes linked to horror movies are not acceptable. The following characters are deemed as unacceptable:
Huggy Wuggy, Chuckie, any character linked to Squid Games, Killer Clowns or any other character linked to a horror film or scary video.
Fireworks
The PTA will be hosting the annual Fireworks event on the 6th November 2023.
Doors open at 6.15pm, with fireworks beginning at 7pm, entry will be via the gate
near the staff car park. Entry will be £4 per person.

Climate Change
This week Dosbarth Porffor had a special visitor, Mike Church. Mike partners with Petra Publishing and delivered an engaging climate change workshop.All children in school received a free book from Petra Publishing this week.
