Harvest Collection
Thank you very much for your kind donations for our Harvest collection. The food has now been donated to a local food bank and will go a long way to supporting families in the local area. Thank you!
Flu Vaccine letters
The Flu Vaccination letters have been sent home with the children this week. The school nurses will be visiting the school on Wednesday 3rd November to offer the children a nasal spray flu vaccine. Please ensure you have returned the consent form to school before Thursday 21st October. The NHS recommends all eligible children should have a flu vaccination every year, to ensure they stay as healthy as possible, as both Covid-19 and flu are likely to circulate this winter.
Online Safety
A number of our older junior children have been discussing the new Netflix TV show ‘Squid Game’. Squid Game contains a lot of violence and it is highly inappropriate for any child to be viewing and could be traumatic if watched. As with any older rated movies or TV shows, the children should not be watching them and it will be viewed as a safeguarding concern if they are being freely allowed to view inappropriate shows or films. Squid Game content has also started appearing in children’s games such as Roblox and across social media platforms such as TikTok.
Our children are only children once, it is our role to protect their innocence and to protect them from viewing harmful content.
