Barry Island
On the 13th July 2023 our children from Nursery to Year 5 will be going on a trip to Barry Island. You should have received a permission slip with a deadline of 16th June 2023. If you need a spare copy the office will be happy to help.

School Values
During this week’s whole school values assembly, we reviewed all of the aspirations visitors that have been to talk to us and talked about the large range of jobs and future careers that are available to our children.
We reminded the children how important it is to believe in ourselves and read the story of Brontorina.
Please take the time to listen to the story again with your children at home and discuss their aspirations. You can read the story again with your children here.

RSE
Following the RSE (Relationships and Sex Education) meeting this week,
please click here to see a leaflet that outlines what will be taught within each year group.
(Please note – even if your child is in a mixed class, they will be taught in their year group and so will only access the learning specified for their year group.)
These lessons will start after half term. We will let you know when and class teachers will also post on the Class Stories each week detailing the content of that week’s lesson so you are prepared for any questions at home.
If you have any further questions, please send Mrs Wangiel a message as comments can often be missed.

Attendance Matters

The United Nation Article 28 states ‘every child has the right to have a primary education’. We are linking our attendance performance to this article.
We want our children to have the best possible education to give them the best chance in life. If your children aren’t in school we can’t give them this opportunity and can’t give them the opportunity to ‘be the best they can be.’
