School Trip – Barry Island (Thursday, 13th July)
We’re looking forward to a fun day at the beach (hopefully with the sun shining)!
The children will need to bring / wear the following:
- Their school polo shirt or sweatshirt
- A packed lunch
- A drink in a water or screw top bottle. (No glass or cans.)
- A waterproof jacket
- Sun cream
- A sun hat
- A bucket and spade (labelled with their name if possible)
- Some money for an ice cream or lolly (no more than £3)
- A towel just in case we get wet
- Their asthma inhaler if they use one
If your child is entitled to Free School Meals, a packed lunch will be provided for them, consisting of – a cheese sandwich, a bottle of water and a yogurt.
The children will be making sand castles, playing football, etc so please send them in ‘playclothes’ (with a school polo shirt / jumper). We will not be swimming in the sea, therefore swimming costumes are not needed, although they will get wet from paddling. The children should not bring any electrical devices with them on the day.
Step Up
Ahead of the trip to Barry next Thursday (13th) for children from Nursery – Year 5, we would just like to remind you that, in line with our school behaviour policy, any children on Step Up (Years 1-6) at the time of the trip will not be able to go on the trip.
Please remind the children of the importance of following our school rules and displaying our school values to stay off Step Up.
School will still be open to pupils not going on the trip (except for Nursery which will be closed)
Thank you for your support.

Attendance Matters
The United Nation Article 28 states ‘every child has the right to have a primary education’. We are linking our attendance performance to this article.
We want our children to have the best possible education to give them the best chance in life. If your children aren’t in school we can’t give them this opportunity and can’t give them the opportunity to ‘be the best they can be.’
